In a major structural and architectural renovation, the atrium entrance to SKYCITY has been transformed. The project saw a massive 800m2 of new floor area added and a new restaurant and sports bar (Andy’s Burger Bar) built on level two of the Atrium. This project involved converting an existing New World supermarket into a Sikh Temple consisting of a library and teaching area; a prayer hall; a dining and kitchen area; and accommodation for the Priest. The design hides the existing building structure by creating a new façade and adding a prominent entrance with a traditional domed roof.
