St Mary of the Angel’s was the first reinforced Gothic church in the world when completed in 1922. Following the 2013 Wellington earthquake, the church was closed, and the Catholic diocese began a four-year project to retain the building's integrity and strengthen it. It became a point of pride for the construction team that the finished church looks identical to the original at its best. It has attracted visitors and engineers from around New Zealand.

St Bartholomew’s is recognised as the oldest surviving church in Canterbury, with the first section opening in 1856. The opportunity was taken to repair damage caused by the 2011 earthquakes and remediate any deferred maintenance. New foundations were required, which meant the church had to be lifted, placed on rollers and moved clear to enable them to be put in place. The congregation are delighted with the work which will hopefully see the church survive for another 160 years.

The Centennial Flats were built in 1940 and are one of New Zealand’s first examples of Modernist architecture, and were Wellington’s first state housing multi-block. Work was required to bring them up to modern living standards and current building codes, however their heritage status meant that
demolishing or substantially altering the flats was not an option. A comprehensive refurbishment was completed, including seismic strengthening, and extensive exterior and interior work.
