Scoring and Awards

The New Zealand Commercial Project Awards are an exciting opportunity for you to promote your business, celebrate the work of your team and grow your profile.

Quality marks are available to all named members of the project team for use on promotional and marketing material.

BRONZE

Awarded to entries that achieve 75% of the points available.

SILVER

Awarded to entries that achieve 82.5% of the points available.

GOLD

Awarded to entries that achieve 90% of the points available.

There is no limit to the number of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards given in each category.

NATIONAL CATEGORY AWARD

Awarded to the highest scoring entrant in each category provided they have received a Gold Award.

ENVIRONMENTAL & SUSTAINABLE AWARD

This award is based on the environmental features of the design and will only be awarded if deserved. It recognises the relationship our man-made buildings have with the environment and responsibility we have as an industry.

INNOVATION AWARD

This award recognises that transformation is happening in our sector and is awarded to the project that has taken an innovative approach and achieved a positive outcome. Innovation could be in the field of process, design, construction, materials or technology

BIM AWARD

Awarded at the judges' discretion for use of technology that aims to shape the industry towards a more efficient and sustainable era.

SPECIAL AWARD

This award may be given at the discretion of the judges for a specific outstanding project or element of a project that they feel is worthy of recognition.

VALUE AWARDS

All projects are automatically eligible for a Value Award based on their total project value:

  • Commercial Project under $1 million
  • Commercial Project $1-$3 million
  • Commercial Project $3-$10 million
  • Commercial Project $10-$25 million
  • Commercial Project $25-$50 million
  • Commercial Project over $50 million

SUPREME AWARDS

Supreme Awards are awarded to the two highest scoring entries across the following price bands:

  • Supreme Commercial Project of the Year under $10 million
  • Supreme Commercial Project of the Year over $10 million

PLATINUM AWARD

Awarded to an Entrant who has won five or more national titles. Platinum is awarded to an organisation only once, being the highest accolade that can be achieved in the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards.
